Hi. My name is Julie Sobota
I was appointed as a Civil Marriage Celebrant by the Federal Attorney General in 2006 and since that time I have solemnised hundreds of weddings. I have also been serving the community of NSW as a Justice of the Peace since 1989. I am also a member of the Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants of NSW and ACT Inc.
I have been married for over 32 years and highly recommend it. Although many people today think marriage is just a piece of paper I believe it is more than that. People all over the world hold marriage in high regard and it is a deeply respected institution in human society.
I was born in Penrith, grew up in Plumpton and Rooty Hill and moved to Mt Druitt, commonly referred to as Old Mt Druitt, when I married. I feel very comfortable with the people in the area where I live and I hope they feel comfortable and relaxed when they come to see me. I travel throughout Sydney its outer suburbs and The Blue Mountains conducting marriage ceremonies and am authorised to officiate at wedding ceremonies anywhere in Australia. Most weddings I conduct are based on tradition but that doesn't mean yours has to be. Tell me your ideas and we can incorporate them into your own personal ceremony.
